I have one last WordPress desktop posting app for you. This one is called Poster and I’m posting this from it now. Poster has a simple interface and once you get it set up it is amazingly easy to make a new post. This is another free program, as like the others I talked about in the last two posts and is available for Mac and Windows. I hope you like the programs/add-ons I have talked about today. In the future I hope to post something talking about which desktop publisher I like best.

After installing Flock (see last post), I found another desktop blogging tool. This is an add-on for Firefox, but it also works with Flock. I tested it on Safari but it wouldn’t install. What ScribeFire does is if you push F8 when you are inside Firefox or Flock, it will launch a window inside the browser. After you get your blog set up, you can type text into the F8 window and click post. This will post to the selected blog. I haven’t tested it out yet, but it looks like a nice interface.

I just downloaded a program called Flock. Flock is a web browser and a blog editor. It supports Windows, Mac, and Linux. I can post directly to my blog with Flock, as I am doing now. This is a short post because I just wanted to see how Flock works. If you think it works well, please leave a comment.

I used to think that the iPod battery meter only displayed a green bar to show how much power I have left and a red bar when I am running low, but the other day when I was playing an iPod Game, the battery started to run low. I exited out of the game and began listening to music. When the song I was listening to ended, I lit up the screen to see what song was next. I noticed the battery meter and saw it wasn’t red or green. It was orange, so I guess the battery meter turns green, orange, and then red. That’s a pretty nice feature.

That’s right! iTunes is now 5 years old! If you go to the home page of the iTunes Store you will see a link to a page talking about the iTunes anniversary. It shows some hits and bestsellers they’ve had over the years. It started in 2003 and it is now available for download for Mac and PC! Version 7.6.2 is the most recent on Mac, delivering an easy way to shop and purchase your favorite songs, albums, videos, TV shows, iPod Games and much more! The iPod Games section has 28 great games, all only $5.00. We can only wait to find out what new changes and services the iTunes Store will offer for us in the future.

I recently trialed and bought a program made for the iPod called iPDA. What this does is it lets you put RSS feeds, email, contacts, iCals, documents, Google Maps, Gmail, News, and weather forecasts all on your iPod. If you have the Office pack, you can load events, notes, mail, contacts, and tasks. This costs $20.00 and the creators, Zapptek, make some other great products including iPresent it, iSpeak it, iPod Launcher, and iCal Notifications. iPresent it allows you to give presentations on your iPod. iSpeak it is a text-to-speech tool that lets you listen to your documents on your iPod. iPod Launcher automatically launches applications and scripts whenever you connect an iPod to your computer. iCal Notifications lets you send iCal notifications via your favourite e-mail application. You can buy a big pack of most of these applications for a lesser amount of money. All these programs only work with Macs except for iPresent it which will work with Mac, Vista and XP. I hope you enjoy this application! Check back soon because I have more great posts to share with you!

You can stream live video online much like a television broadcast. There are various sites that do it. I like to use uStream.tv, stickam.com and justin.tv. uStream is very popular with pretty good quality and awesome features. The broadcaster includes a co-host feature, a Twitter feature, ability to record your live shows directly to their server and much more! I normally use uStream for casual streaming. Stickam is a lot like uStream with most of the features. The quality is pretty much like uStream’s and I use it a good amount of the time. Justin.tv is different. It has the Twitter feature and some other nice features, but the quality is AMAZING!!!!! When you start the broadcast, it gives you a choice. You can use the “Good” broadcaster or the “Best” broadcaster. “Best” only works on Windows computers, but “Good” is still great! You can set incredible connection settings. The cool thing is that if you are on a Mac, you can actually DOWNLOAD a standalone broadcaster! You can have a free program on your computer that will broadcast directly to justin.tv!!! I use justin.tv for special “high quality” webcasts. I recommend you try all of these services and let me know how you think of them.
*All of these services have chat rooms. uStream has an IRC room and if you want, you can ask the people at uStream to change the IRC room on your show page to one of your choice. You can even switch IRC servers. Justin.tv and Stickam have non-IRC chatrooms.

iTunes is not the official top music dealer in the U.S. It was only months ago when it was in third. I guess in that time a lot of people must have been buying from Apple.
