Yahoo! Geocities
As I said before, in the Guitar Page, Yahoo! Geocities is a free Yahoo! based website building service which offers a free online website builder, Yahoo! PageBuilder. Yahoo! PageBuilder includes HTML scrpiting and image uploading. You can easily add background music to any page and type as much text as you want. You can create forms and custom link buttons. The only bad thing about it, it you can’t download Yahoo! PageBuilder to your hard drive and after about 2-20 minutes of use, the program will not let you save your page due to their server being full of other people using the program. They do have something called Yahoo! PageWizards which lets you chose a template and builds your page in 4 easy steps. I have not tried that, but it seems good for beginners. When you sigh up, (if you already have a Yahoo! username, you can use that) your website would be at www.geocities.com/username. Your site will have ads that go along with the theme of your site. If your site is about flowers, the ads will be about flowers. You can upgrade to a Plus version for around 3-6 dollars a month. A Pro versions costs 5-9 dollars a month but you get a domain. And a WebHosting Starters Pack will get you a domain with the maximum features Geocities offers at 7-14 dollars a month. If that isn’t what you want, try Yahoo! Small Buisness or any other Yahoo! Website Builders.
