What’s in my Dock?

I will tell what is in my dock and my applications folder here. I got this idea from my friends blog post.
Here is a picture of my dock.

We have a problem with some of the links on the apple.com site. Since they are releasing Leopard in 8 days, most of their links to programs have been shut down.

Please, note some of the programs are Mac only programs.

The first thing is Finder which is, for the Windows users, like Windows Explorer. It is how I access my folders and files.
Next, is Dashboard. The Dashboard is a screen that comes up on command. I had all the widgets I pick to be there. From the weather forecast to games and more. Its all there.
After my dash is Apple Mail. It is how I get my e-mail.
Then, I have Safari which is my internet browser. I also have Mozilla FireFox which is another internet browser.
After Safari I have Skype. That is a video chat program. You can IM on it too.
Adium is after that. Adium is and IM client that lets you sihn on to almost any IM service all at the same tme.
And Apple PaintBrush is a free drawing program much like Microsoft Paint.
Skitch is a private beta drawing program. That means that only certain people can get it and I happen to have it.
BrightCove PublishPod helps me publish my own videos to www.brightcove.com.
And the Flash Player F. That is the N game. It is a game where you, a ninja, has to get a key and get to a door before time runs out. You also have to dodge some tough traps.
NVU is another drawing program but I like it because you can type an HTML script into it and it takes whatever you type and turns it into an image. You can then use it in e-mail newsletters.
Next, Address Book, is an address book.
iTunes is iTunes. It lets you download media files.
iPhoto is a simple photo editor.
iMovie and iMovie HD 6 are movie editing programs.
And the mighty iDVD can make DVDs in the blink of an eye.
Next two are Audacity and GarageBand. Two very great multi-track recording programs. GarageBand comes with the iMac and Audacity is freeware.
QuickTime is a media player. There’s more to it but that is the simple explanation.
And LineIn is a program for recording. It changes the output and input.
PhotoBooth is a cool picture taking program. You can add effects and them send the pic straight to Mail or iPhoto.
TextEdit is a simple text editor.
System Preferences is like Control Panel for those Windows users.
SoundFlower is another program that works with LineIn.
Next, QuickSilver is a launcher where you type in a letter and then a program comes up depending on what you type.
Last, is CamTwist. CamTwist is a cool proram which can change your camera input to your desktop, a slideshow, or a movie.
The other two things to the side are the Mac OS X website shortcut and the trash can. Also, to that off to the side spot on the right is where all minimized programs go.

Here is a snapshot of my applications folder.

You may have to enlarge your internet browser to see the image.

I also just recently added a program called HandBrake. I will talk about that soon.
