I have an analog microphone that works fine with an amplifier, but I tried to make it work with line-in. At first I did not succeed with using an adapter. The adapter pluged into the output of the microphone and went into the computer. I tried many other times with many other configurations. I tried it on a PC and it worked but there was a lot of extra fuzz. The other night I tried first plugging the mic into the amp and then having the amp output to the Mac. It worked! I had to change some of the settings, but I got it working!
